River, mountains and the sea

THE EBRO DELTA is a UNESCO protected ecosystem. The river Ebro, is the longest in Spain, crosses a cannon before spreading into multiple canals and lagoons that form its delta. This setting has influenced and inspired traditions, culture and the lifestyle of the local people as well as an artist like Picasso.

CASTELL TRESOR invites you to immerse yourself fully into a healthy Mediterranean lifestyle. Our packages allow you to explore the region, experience the beauty of the wetlands and get in touch with local people. Stay overnight in a traditional castle or a farmer’s thatched cottage nestled amongst the rice fields. Cycle along the vast rice fields or relax on the beach after kayaking to the local oyster farm.

OUR ACTIVITIES support traditional farming that has preserved the ecosystem to this present day.

The excitement that as a child I found on the local ruin castles has never disappeared. Only when I meet foreigner come to see our thatched coattages I realise they have even more importance to explain why our culture and land. Foremost, to share how a sustainable rural culture have preserved this natural ecosystem.

As a kid I would play in what use to be the ruins of battled historic castle. I dream of bringing back new life to this old history. That’s why now in 2020  we have gracefully rejuvenated its identity and  given it the purpose to preserve the rural lifestyle within its walls . Join us in what is the land of Delta. A pleasure to those wanting to feel the embrace of a rural home.
